« on: June 09, 2011, 02:13:08 PM »
It's a small sports racer from a long time ago but it survives today.
What is it called, well known in its heyday, for a point.

Not a Buckler.
It was well-known in Formula 750 racing circles in the 1950s

Is this 'Sacre Bleu', the Austin Seven-based racer of Brian and Roger Toft?

It is indeed 'Sacre Bleu', rebuilt in 1956-58 from a damaged Austin Seven Ruby saloon for Formula 750 racing.
Rescued from a field in 1993, it is now restored as shown in the puzzle photo.
