This is real craftmanship!
They really make a brilliant job, obviously.

I really admire the passion of some guys who spent loads of money to preserve an almost unique vehicle.
And they will never ever get the spent sum back.

However they can be sure that there are many admirers around who can estimate their work - me included.

The survived Vischer bodied Atlas is parked about 800m from my home. Will check out the state of restoration soon.
I just came across a sales ad for the puzzle car. The restoration has progressed, but isn't finished:
Shame on me I didn't find the time to visit that exciting project in my neighbourhood..

But I see that sale with mixed emotions. Does it mean it finds a new owner before restoration has completed?

A nice contemporary picture of the Gutbrod Atlas with Vischer cab:

The Gutbrod restoration is finished now. The Atlas is for sale at 65,000 €!

What a great little lorry!
Considering how many of them have survided it's still a bargain. You know current prices for DKW Schnelllaster?

Yes, just two Gutbrod Atlas with Vischer cab are known. Not many more with Binz bodies either.
DKW Schnellaster have gone through the roof as well. Some of them make VW T1 look cheap.  ;D

Pure craftmanship!

But I think a door handle should be included at this price.
