1990 "Total Recall" movie car. Made by RQ Riley/Quincy Lynn...called a Town car...based on VW  mechanicals. The RQ riley version is an EV version whilst the Quincy Lynn versions were mostly powered by aircooled vw engines. Both companys' cars are built to fit the VW type 1 chassis. ;)

It has nothing to do with the "Total Recall" movie, I'm afraid. I guess you thought of the movie car pictured below. The year is wrong, too. What is right is the similarity to the Quincy Lynn design, the VW base and the fact that it is an EV.

I am going to let this puzzle slip away I think. It might be that I have a more relaxed outlook to things. I am ok with getting pretty close on this car. Maybe I am more layed back because I have lived here in the western U.S., with lots of space &  fewer people. Probably alot of competition & micro detailing( in order to have your own distinct personality) in Europe, with population overcrowding & regulations. :)

One of the most relaxed puzzlers I met so far...  :lmao:

It's your decision and if the reason you state fits you, it's ok. But leave psychology to the psychologists and leave prejudice outside. Having lived in big cities and small towns, in Germany and mid-western USA, I can tell you that life is more complicated than you want to tell us  ;) And I think it's better to stop my part of the discussion right now.

Anybody else interested in this car?

I am.
BTW there won't be any doubt about the name...it's written on the car!

If I may...you surely know your stuff and you know Quincy Lynn's products...the similarities in the design can be easily explained  ;)

Thanks, Paul Jarey for your comments. I am certainly not the only VW based kit car fan; there are many autopuzzlers who have knowledge about these type of vehicles..especially the puzzlers from Brasil. There is an enormous amount of VW based kit cars there & in the U.S.A. & elsewhere as well. I have definately had alot of fun & suffering from the kit cars that I own & have owned. :)
