Well, I took up the question with the Debonair Registrar in the UK, a guy named Richard Disbrow, and he said he knows of no other version of this car than the EB and LMB Debonairs 1960-63.

That doesn't mean to say there isn't another one of course, but if anyone knows he should.

I've delved deeply into it in view of what you said but can find no mention in any of my books, many of which feature the Debonair.

So I would say yes, reveal it someone who is maybe in a poosition to look further into what you have?

To my best knowledge this kit car has also been sold under the name CRS Century.
But do not ask me, what CRS stands for and where the company has been located in GB.

My source is the very reliable "Die Automodell 1962/63" catalogue...

Now I do have a problem.

The Debonair has used only the so called "CRS Century" frame. So you would not name the whole car "CRS Century"....

I had tried to identify it from the registration, which I figured read "2 RKT" - a Kent registration!
I did think that a bit odd as most Debonairs I've seen pictured were Staffordshire registered, but that Kent number would check out now I see the answer.

So was it still called Debonair or did they call it a CRS Century?  If they did then I'm sorry we've made you waste a good puzzle grobmotorix!

I've been looking around, but haven't come up with anything concrete.

The main online resource on Ford specials gives CRS Auto Engineers as selling two chassis from 1961 on, the Conquest for Ford E93A mechanicals, and the Century for more powerful engines. It also notes that they started to stock a range of fibreglass body shells from manufacturers including EB (Edwards Brothers).

The entry for CRS in Georgano's 1968 Encylopedia (below) specifically mentions the Debonair body, but unfortunately doesn't give any model names.

I just can't decipher the last letter of the registration number, though I agree with Carnut that it looks like 2 RK<something>. I've tried a few combinations, but nothing's come up. But then it's the sort of number which could have been subsequently sold as a personal plate. Even if we can confirm the correct number, it's quite likely to have been reallocated.

So not much further on, really.
