Tüscher of Zürich body on 1937 SS Jaguar, of which two 2 1/2-litre and one 3 1/2-litre cars apparently, and one cannot tell from the outside. The Arthur Frey ad (importer) of course emphasized the 3 1/2 litre option...Drop Head Coupe (or Sportkabriolet if you are keen on the original nomenclature)

Yes, that's correct.
I would agree you cannot tell whether the car is a 2.5 or a 3.5 litre.
