Identify this car for a point. Donor is easy, but what was the name of this bodykit?

I believe this is a Wataru -01, which is a glassfibre bodykit for a Mazda MX5 that replicates the look of a '60s Lotus Elite. Approx 30 were built in the early 1990s.

I'd be thankful for more information about this manufacturer.

I'm afraid I don't really know anything else. I believe they were factory built rather than kits and they seem very professionally made. Each car I've seen is very individual and I'm assuming they were built to order. There is one in the UK that is being restored by a Mazda MX5 nut after a heavy front end smash.

Front end looks a little clumsy, but the back is very neat. Looks good with the hardtop too

I think it looks great front and back!
Rather an unfortunate name on that registration plate though..
