« on: October 25, 2011, 03:46:46 AM »
READ CAREFULLY:

Try to identify this car.
If you want to play fair, find the answer the old fashioned way.
If you want to cheat, you can easily find it via Google Image Search, 1st page.
If you are dumb, here's the answer:  - Karle Moench's Amphibious -, (right click and copy to read it.)

it's a game, if you like to play it go on!

(BTW: if you know the car, don't be afraid to answer immediately!  ;D )

I don't know if "SS Autoliner" is just the incipit of the article, but you found the car!

I doubt that his correct name was "Karle Moench".
Karl Mönch is much more likely. Maybe the truth has lost somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean...

'Karle' definetely probably not — 'Karl' is a German name. Most internet sources report of Paul Mönch.

He was the Berlin based engineer. Ullstein editors call him "Paul MÖNCH", a book about amphibian cars I do own calls him "MÜNCH".

In 1949 he presented the Insulaner to the press and crossed the lake "Tegeler See".
