« on: October 25, 2011, 03:25:53 AM »
READ CAREFULLY:

Try to identify this car.
If you want to play fair, find the answer the old fashioned way.
If you want to cheat, you can easily find it via Google Image Search, 1st page.
If you are dumb, here's the answer:  - Vanderbundt -, (right click and copy to read it.)

it's a game, if you like to play it go on!

(BTW: if you know the car, don't be afraid to answer immediately!  ;D )

1950 "Auburn Vanderbundt", which started out as a Seagrave Fire Engine. Builder: Wil Anders

Very similar to one of the "Blastolene" series of cars which was also based on this type of fire engine (and at first, that's what car I thought it was).

I've actually got more than a few miles under my belt on the type of fire engines these cars were both made from . . . the Syracuse Fire Department had some, and here are two of them on their way to auction after long and useful careers. Who knows, maybe some of their parts ended up in one or both of these hot rods!
