Cachorro = puppy?
Right pet.
Gatito sound more like the answer...
The pet is a dog.
The name I'm after sounds like 'Gatito'...but it's not that.

Doguillo?
Now you're thinking right.
There is a particular kind of dog, but not the one you mentioned, that should share its name with this car, and the name sounds like 'gatito'.

...and this name seems to be a mispelled better known spanish word.
...This word is Spanish, seems another very known spanish word, but actually is a word that probably refers to a kind of animal, and after all this car is similar to that pet...
...Name written on the hood = like a spanish well known word = a type of pet...
...Gatito?  Not that, but not very far....
...You were half right...but wrong pet...
...Gatito sound more like the answer...
...as far as I understood...it should be the kind of dog. (I'm not sure about that but if you google that you'll find only pics of this kind of dog, and if you look at the car with that pet in mind...well it make sense!)...
...The name I'm after sounds like 'Gatito'...but it's not that....
...and the name sounds like 'gatito'. ..

Not Pekines-pekines-pequines.

It ends with ...ito      and I do not know if it is a kind of dog or there are a lot of dogs with this name..(like Billy, Fuffy...)

Chicito, resp. "Chiquito" which means nothing more like "little one" or "chappy"

Leopold Garcia's cars are both in the same collection.
I received some pictures of the Citycar and I hope to get some of the Chicito (now painted in white) too!
The owner won't communicate via e-mail and it's a long way from Italy to Albuquerque....
