No idea yet, but it must be Irish, or Northern Irish!
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

Sorry Allan, but I missed your reply...
You are absolutely right, this is an Irish car, as the shape of the grille may suggest...

I'm truly surprised this one is still here.
You know the place and if I'm saying that it's not that hard...

I don't know what can I add.
Think of the place, and a famous name have to come into your mind.
A quick search will remember you that this man was also involved in a sport, road car: this one!

That's Rex McCandless in his Sports Car of 1956.
To many he is better known for his autogyros but he was also credited with the Norton"featherbed" frame motorcycle.

What took you so long?
That's the only decent pic I've been able to find...I believe it was called Shamrock (or the book where I read that was referring to the american-styled one?)
Well done.

This is the 3rd of 3 prototypes of what was hoped to be a production car. It was found that importing the mechanical bits to Northern Ireland and exporting the complete package would make it to expensive. I cannot find reference to Shamrock in reference to this car.

Also known as 'Dorothy's car' it was commissioned by Laurie McGladery for his wife Dorothys.
First registered in 1956. RZ 6516 was originally driven by Dorothy McGladdery.
