For 1 point, what is this nice red car, what powers it and from when does it date?

It's a Brazilian sportscar of the '50's.

I have this picture in my documentation at home, but I can't remember the name right now. I'll have to look it up tonight (if it hasn't been solved by then).

Found it in my documentation : this is an FB, a plastic roadster from Argentina build in 1950. Only one was build and it has a Ford V8. "FB" stands for Francesco Bernardy, the guy who build it ...

I only have this picture ; any pictures from the back?

That's the car!
Well done.

The Ford V8 powering it is apparently a 1938 flathead.

And thanks for the further pics PJ.  Looks like the car still exists, which is great.  I hate it when these one-offs just disappear or end up in the scrapyard!

I think Mecanicimport are a dealer who were selling it.  I sent them an email to ask for bit more information, like what it is based on and who built it, but needless to say I got no reply.  Don't confuse dealers with enthusiasts!

Googling found nothing nor could I find another picture.

I have a little bit more on this. I'll add it tomorrow. I remember FB stood for something like Francisco Bernardy and was from Argentina.
