Solved - NEH 1362: Phoenix home-built VW by Bogumil Szuba
« on: November 10, 2011, 05:00:55 AM »
Although this car has featured on AP before it's never had a puzzle all its own, something I thought it was time I put right!

So, for 1 point, what's this, what's it based on and who built it?

Hmm - this must be a well-known car in Poland then?*
Must say I thought it was a bit harder than it has turned out to be.

Rear view and un-retouched puzzle photo:

*Added point has been deducted again as suspect this was solved by Google Image Search

Yes, but only the rear view.
I didn't think the front and rear looked like they belong to the same car!

I think there was a fairly well publicized magazine article about this car, certainly I've seen it in many places on the WWW. I'd like to see some better images though, this is easily my favourite of the VW-based self built cars. A very pretty design, in my eyes
