'Project ISIS'. Under this heading, sports car adept Anton van Nunen and designer/auto specialist Max Alting Siberg launch this extremely imposing sports car, ISIS AM01, on May 29, 2011. However, already at this moment, the first prototype is on show at the CARROS Magazine stand in the Dutch official two-yearly automobile and automotive exhibition AutoRAI 2011 Amsterdam.
It is their intention to start a small series production of its successor, the AM02, later this year.
The AM01 is a street legal car, based on the Dutch Saker racing car. It took Anton van Nunen, Max Alting Siberg and Saker Sportscars three years to modify the Saker GT, a car strictly designed for track use, into a sleek looking car, which combines racing capabilities with road legality. Not until now, after another year of testing and integrating very diversified materials, shapes and concepts, the makers are satisfied with this ISIS AM01.
Extensive testing, both on the road and on the circuit, have induced devising a second prototype: the ISIS AM02. This type will enter production in a series of presumably 10 pieces. The AM02 will again be based on the Saker chassis but the body will incorporate further developments in shape. Moreover, the AM02 will facilitate options such as a body of glass fiber, carbon fiber or aluminium / carbon fiber, a larger engine and a six-shift gearbox
