The Fantuzzi body is now on 250GT #1087 and replica body on Testa Rossa chassis
That's right!
After the 250TR was crashed at Le Mans in 1962 it was sent to the Fantuzzi bodyshop where this body was fitted, and the car was driven around the streets of New York like that for 9 years. Apparently a museum curator realised the car's historical importance, traded in 2 other Ferraris for it, had this Fantuzzi body removed and fitted to a 1958 250GT chassis #1087 and then had a replica body fitted to original Testa Rossa chassis, after which it sold for $9.3 million...
