Young Engelbert Humperdink toyed with idea of selling his hair, in order to buy glass for his unfinished automobile. But then, a career in music led him to forget all about his foolish plan, and the car he once loved.

Porsche 356 based ???

It's not actually based on a Porsche but it could still be called a Porsche Special of some sort...

T82 VW engine and DKW parts ?

I believe it has a Porsche (356) engine, hence its Porsche name, although it has also sported a VW engine at some time in its life.
Don't know about any DKW parts.
The base is easy...
This is locked for you again for another 24 hours but I'm going to need a correct answer...

SACO seems to have lost interest in this puzzle so I'll have to throw it open as I can't move it until the last question is answered..
I'll give SACO a point as he found the right car, but I'll have to offer another point to the Rookie or Expert who can say what this car is based on?

I don't know if it's the same car, judging from the photos, but here is what I found for this "Selbstbauporsche 911R Baujahr 1969" at the Museum sächsische Fahrzeuge in Chemnitz :

===
Pkw-Sport
Bastler Herr Prof.Dr.rer.nat.

===

So it seems, if my german knowledge is good enough, that this one-off was built in GDR on a VW chassis with a tuned-up Porsche 365 A motor developing 110HP.  It took 4 years to Herr Millner to build this car.

That's the same car all right.
So there you have it - it's based on a VW Beetle floorpan!  As easy as that..

Herr Millner is actually Prof. Dr. Millner...

So it's a point each.
