Giovanni Michelotti?
Wendax made it! Well done!

Not Michelotti's only truck job. He also designed some cabs for Scammell in the early sixties.

The Scammell connection is very well documented, but I can't find anything about the Magirus connection.  How come ? ???

It's only the first paragraph that refers to the truck on the right.

~ prototype of a truck styled by Giovanni Michelotti. The designer usually known for Italian sportscars created a fresh and modern truck, but probably none of the Magirus engineers would have favoured this for a production.

Fresh and modern?

I can't help thinking that the designer must have looked at the Ford F100/F250 (1953 to 56), which was already obsolete by 1958. I'm not surprised the Magirus engineers were not keen..... :-\

I guess what the author meant was Michelotti's proposal in comparison with other Magirus trucks of that era..  :D
Modern times started not until the designs of LL Lepoix for the German truck industry. (Hanomag F55)

A precious information, as the Registro Storico Michelotti doesn't say a word about it.
