It's not that, but it is a Fiat and it does have an 1100cc engine.

I have this as 1948, but none of the sources I found mention the coachbuilder so they're possibly not reliable... just thought I should mention it!

I have these two pics as Touring Fiat 508C-1100 barchetta/spyder MM (1938-1939).
They are similar to Arnoux one and I think there is a link between them...

Thanks.  Particularly the 1939 is intriguing as it looks the same.  1939 though?!
Do you know who 'Arnoux' might be?  Sounds French..

Maybe Arnoux was a driver at the Targa Florio.  I found another picture of this car at the targapedia gallery in Flickr, which is entirely devoted to the Targa Florio.  However Arnoux doesn't appear in the list "I PILOTI DELLA TARGA FLORIO DAL 1906 al 1977" by Raffaello Brullo.  Strange...

Sorry for the delay :D. I had a suspect about this car long ago and now I can post more: this car was built around a Fiat 1100 chassis by Giorgio Greppi in Colico. Greppi is quite known among collectors because he built hundreds of cars like this. Those cars (probably) were never meant to be considered as 'originals' but at the end they poisoned the market and now the expression "That's a Greppi" is equal to "That's a fake". I am trying to research those cars and I already found several names of these artigiani.
