Motto GFH Sport Renault 4CV
This lovely Renault 4CV Coupe was built in 1954 by Rocco Motto and Swiss mechanic Hansruedi Hauri. The Motto body was very light and the car's weight was only 465kg (about 100kg less than a standard-4CV). The car was powered by a tuned and bored 4CV engine with 904cc and 55 to 62HP. The letters GFH stand for:
G - Mr. Granjean, Swiss racing driver who intended to race this special 4CV.
F - Mr. Ferry, French motor-tuner.
H - Hansruedi Hauri, Renault-dealer in Biel, Switzerland, and initiator of the project.
The car was first shown at the 1954 Geneva Auto Salon and was last seen in Paris in 1969. Due to financial problems it remained a one-off prototype.
