Early sketch of the Plymouth XNR?  Would have been drawn prior to the 1960's concept, so sometime in the late 50s?

Don't think so but I'm travelling abroad at the moment and can't remember exactly!
I'll revert with an answeer on my return tomorrow.

Nothing to do with Plymouth..

Is it an Exener design at all? Looks like a proposal for the Dodge Dart, and that bonnet bulge that becomes the instrument panel is reminiscent of his Plymouth Assymetrica design

It's not by Exner, no, but the designer was heavily influenced by him and worked alongside him.
It's not actually a specific proposal for any particular car hence my previous reply that it wasn't a Plymouth XNR as it does have a (not particularly imaginative!) name which is neither Chrysler nor Plymouth but which you've (almost) already mentioned, so you have partly answered the question already!  It was of course designed under their umbrella, but who was the designer?

Not by him, no.  Don't think he was at C-P at that time.

No problemo.
Where I found it could the caption could mean that it's a 1955 for 1959 Dodge design. It's unclear.

Yes, actually that's what I was going to put but somehow it just didn't look 1955-ish enough so I couldn't be confident that was correct.  Could be the same source, although it didn't mention Dodge.

I'll assume we all saw the same web site ...... My interpretation of the "55" was that it was the year the drawing was made. I could be wrong though. I really wish the "full sized" 62's had made production rather than the "down sized" versions.
