Australian Ford V8 special built by Harry Smith circa 1949

Specifically in Restored Cars issue 138 Jan Feb '00 pp31  '1946 Allard Roadster' article which can be seen in a 10/19/2010 thread ' Unknown: Said to be Allard special '
in Classic Cars section of Automotive Forums on Ultimatecarpage.
Note that in my second - the penultimate post - i suggested Autopuzzles would be another good place to make enquiries; little did i know ...

If you want more detail on this car, there is a recent 400-odd posts long thread on the Autosport.com Nostagia Forum which has traced more or less its whole history. 

Moderators: I think it's ok to give the link as that site doesn't specifically relate to details of cars
