Solved - MJW #731 - Standard Flying Nine FWD prototype 1937
« on: December 10, 2011, 11:56:31 AM »
Looks familiar?
Perhaps but what is the make and model of this small saloon?
When was it built and what was unusual about it for that period?

I'll ask, Is it British? because of the RHD.  Looks a lot like a Ford, but not close enough.

It looks Standardish. I'll try a Flying Eight with prototype FWD.

It is a Standard FWD prototype but not a Flying Eight. It's a Flying ?.
Locked for you also to come up with the year.

It's a Nine. Should have spotted the curved door frame.  The year? No idea, except it's within the 1937-40 time-frame. How about 1939.

It is a Flying Nine and as you've said it's within the 1937-1940 period I'll give you the point.
I have it as 1937.
