This is a replacement for my previous #560 which was a repost (Eldred Norman's Eclipse Zephyr)

For one point I need the make, model, year and coachbuilder please.

Hispano Suiza T64 1932 by Fiol ?
Hispano Suiza is correct although I have a name rather than a type number for this model.
Year is very close but the coachbuilder is not Fiol.

Well SACO, I'm sure it's the same car but my source (usually very reliable) points to a different Spanish coachbuilder.
The source states that it is a Junior model (an H-S 26) built in 1931.
Now I realise that Hispano's Spanish archives are very sketchy and that many of the cars were bodied by Fiol.

I'm inclined to give you the point as you have found the car but will await your further thoughts before I decide what to do.
In the meantime I'll lock it for you until your next reply.

I'm giving SACO a point for having found the car but I'm not convinced about the coachbuilder.
I'll move it up to the Pros for comment and a possible solution.....

Thanks for that Otto.

I think I should now reveal where I found the puzzle and the conflicting information I discovered.

The info came the Beaulieu Encyclopedia of Coachbuilding (normally reliable) as shown below -

Interesting. I'm not sure which one I'd trust more - a museum curator, or the well-researched book.  ???

Neither do I..... :-\

I've already awarded one point but I'll leave this one open for a while in case anyone else has more information.

I'm moving this one to the Solved section as further information has not been forthcoming over the last month.
Further proof one way or the other is of course very welcome.

As I understand 'pareja'in Spanish just means 'partner', and the body is fairly identicaal to other bodies of the same age by Baltasar Fiol, so I would opt for that. Also, the book you refer to is often very wrong when it describes products outside the UK...

Thank you for that bentleybob.
I should have checked the meaning of 'pareja' and I am aware of the shortcomings in this particular book.
It's a shame really as the production of this book (nameless for the moment) was a missed opportunity to really get to grips with the whole international coachbuilding scene.
Personally I think it would take at least three hefty volumes to cover the subject adequately.

I will now alter the heading as to your suggestion and thanks once again.

Yes I do - it's an excellent source but still incomplete with regard to the obscure companies.
