All I have is the name. I've seen it listed as being a 1950 or 51 Victour Housecar. I can find nothing on the builder, but I'm pretty sure it's not from France.  ;)

Interesting. Those two pictures look to me to be the same photo, but one has been reversed and Photoshopped to change the background.

Here are the two next to each other and the same way round. The lower one has been blurred and lightened a bit, but look at the reflections in, and what you can see through, the windows, the shadow cast on the front, and other small details.

I wonder why?

The blogger who posted the second picture used it to illustrate a short entry about his family owning such a vehicle when he was a child.

I have no more than this (1951 says my source) and I see no reason why it should be from France, unless you mean the chicken in your photoshopped picture (in which case I should thake this as an insult. Fortunately I gave up my French nationality recently and Im a Pitcairnese now. ;D)

So, the point goes to Otto, who solved both mysteries.

Thanks, Ray!

My French language skills are poor. I understood St. Victour was a city in France.

Well, there is one. I checked. But, with only 172 inhabitants, I doubt its fame would have reached Michigan.
Well done anyway.

I never heard of it until I worked on this puzzle. I was trying to find information about the builder, and came across the town (but not the builder).
