This one only existed as a drawing but was quite serious in its intent for further development.
Who was the man behind it, what was unusual about its propulsion, when was it drawn up and who styled it?

No, the design was not associated with any manufacturer at the time.

The man who styled this car was responsible for my puzzle car #444.

These two people also worked together on other cars that did become a reality.

This is Frank Hamblin's styling for Alan Salisbury Lamburn's front wheel drive "economy car", drawn in May, 1950. It followed the basic layout of the Duncan Dragonfly, was supposed to have a 600 cc twin cylinder engine and featured some ideas that became prominent some years later with the Austin Mini, such as the combined engine-gearbox layout.
