Wasn't this Issigonis's first prototype for an Austin 1800, based on an elongated 1100?

This is the 1958 BMC/Austin XC9001 prototype - developed by Alec Issigonis as a very early design for what would become the Austin/Morris 1800 series.

Yes it's the XC9001 prototype but I have this under a different marque name.
I'm not sure now that I'm correct on this. I'll have to check my source again.
Any further thoughts?

Carnut, you also guessed what it may have been first so I'll open it again for a guess between the two of you (Tonyola guessed the model correctly).

I was going to enlarge after a bit of investigation..
I think tonyola is right in that it is XC9001 from 1958, which grew out of the 1956 XC9000 1500cc class car and which looked like a huge elongated Mini.
It is the car that eventually went on to be developed into the 1800 series.

The XC in the name stood for Experimental Car and the 9001 was the code number. BMC XC and ADO cars typically were not assigned to a particular marque until they were fairly far along, and the 9001 was a very early concept. None of the sources I found give the XC9001 a marque name, though had it reached production, it would have been sold under the Austin and/or Morris badges.
