What is the name, model and year of this small three wheeler?
-
Moving up
-
1955 Tippen Delta Invalid vehicle.
-
That's right although I have a later year in the 1950s for it.
Anyway, the point is yours.
-
1955 can't be right, because it is a Tippen Delta 2 which came out in 1958. The former Tippen Delta for example had wire wheels.

My mistake there - I thought there was only one Tippen Delta.
Oh well, too late as I've already awarded the point.
Thanks for that info Wendax

I don't mind giving the point for correctly identifying it as a Tippen Delta. I just wanted to add some information. :)

Much appreciated!

I also like the additional information, I know it was introduced in 1955 and only the early model(s) had the single front headlamp.
What I do not know is how long it retained that feature.
Outside of this image, every other Tippen Delta I have seen has two headlamps.
I took a wild guess on the year to be honest.
Now that I look up some stuff.... The Tippen Delta 2 with a single headlamp appears to have only been available for 1958.
I've found it difficult to rely on information in books and especially car placards at car shows and "museums" in general.
I can't begin to tell you how many "1954" BMW Isettas are out there. And they are in the USA!
Several of them are have the extremely rare 2-cyl VW prototype engines as well!
At least that is what the caption on the photo or the car placard says! ::)

I believe this particular model was introduced in 1956 and was available until 1958.
