The man who was responsible for creating this car shared his surname with a famous racing driver

Hmm, I will accept the first guess who comes up with the name of this special for the final point.

We have established it's based on a Graham Paige (highly modified) and is named the ? Special.

As I mentioned it shares its' name with a Formula One GP winner of the past.

An easy point on offer to tie this one up?

Brooks is correct!
The car is the Brooks Special built in 1951 by R.C. Brooks on a modified Graham-Paige chassis of 1934 and fitted with a 4350cc straight-eight engine.
