Post by: woodinsight on March 14, 2011, 09:24:55 AM
Another car that I don't have many details for.
So who made it for a point.
Any fuller details are of course very welcome.

Does it have a BMW chassis (328 or 327)?

The wheels remind me very much of this BMW 328, then (1947) driven by Alex von Falkenhausen:

Nothing to do with BMW.
In actual fact this is a recently constructed car to the special order of a European client.
(but it wasn't built in Europe)

There were 3 different designs, the Cadillac one, the Type 41 and this one, alfa inspired.

Anadon Pursang?
Yes, this is the Alfa Romeo version built by PurSang Argentina of Parana (Entre Rios) and headed by Leonidas Anadon.
The puzzle picture shows the car prior to completion for, I believe, a Belgian client.
My online source quotes the engine as being Renault but I doubt that.
There is still little information available on these interesting cars.

I don't know but I suspect that may be a dummy engine put in place for measurement purposes.
I hope that we eventually see the finished car and that it doesn't just disappear into a private collection.

I visited Pur Sang some time back and this car happened to still be there, it has a V12 airplane engine, Renault if I recall correctly.
