Solved - MJW #313 - AC 428 Aceca Ford by Werner Oswald
« on: March 01, 2011, 09:38:23 AM »
Not what it seems and it's not a replica.
Who built it, on what base car and which engine is fitted?
Oh yes, and the make of course!

A.C. Aceca?
That's correct - The body is from an A.C. Aceca but the chassis and engine are not.
Who built it is also required.

And here I thought, with the white and blue livery, that it would be  stupid question.

Is the motor American?

Corvette chassis and engine?

The chassis is from an AC 428...the body is AEX 558, and the engine is most likely a Ford 428...

The chassis is indeed from an AC 428 - originally crashed, later repaired and shortened to fit the Aceca body.
The engine is a Ford V8 but not a 428.
You obviously know the car Aaron65 but do you know who built it?
Locked for you......

It was built by a Swiss guy named Verner Oswald and now has a Boss 302 engine in it...

That's it - well done!

Builder was Werner Oswald who also built 11 replica Frazer Nash Le Mans Replicas.
The car is currently resident in the UK.
