We did have it quite recently (within last 18 months) but I can't for the life of me remember its name!

I think I see the problem with this one.

It is listed on the 'net as being "without name" and try as I might I can't find it in the Solved Puzzles section.

I have the car listed under who it was built for which probably differs from that on this site.

So - what to do?
I can easily replace it with another puzzle.
Please advise!

I'd suggest you leave this. Some more information may appear later.

It may well be a repost but a point will be awarded to someone who can name the person it was built for and the year plus their nationality.
Moving up a level now

Built in 1960 by brothers Delazzeri in the town of Garibaldi (Brasil). The lights are Lambretta, the brakes are mechanical and the engine is an Indian motorcycle. It is a mix of Ford and Impala.

 ???

Perhaps the one we are all thinking about (I certainly was) was actually a small Crosley-based Estate car that looked just like a miniaturized Chevy Impala!

This car is completely different!

That's the car.
Well done - the point is yours.

I have it as built for Valdir and Reno Delazzeri.
The confusion arose over the car being listed on the internet as having no name however I will keep it as a Delazzeri.

Google translated:

A CAR FOR TWO

Valdir Delazzeri and Reni, two brothers, 23 and 21, respectively, decided in his city of Garibaldi (RGS) to build themselves a car that would suit both. There one night (day, upholsterers are) put him to work. This happened in 1960. And, it beats here, saw there, tightening a bolt there, the darn car was coming: a scooter with headlights, brake mechanics, an Indian motorcycle engine, a front like the 1957 Ford and 1959 Impala rear inspired by - but left. And what's more enjoyable, moving and fitting the two seats side by side. Only the painting, the brothers have Valdir and Reni, was made by a professional. The paint and the seats because the seats do improvised builders knew what they were doing, or would upholsterers. In the photo, the car. In time, this is a convertible, because the "hard-top is removable in seconds.
