This is starting to bug me now. Contrary to what I said in the other puzzle, I never want to see another special-bodied Dyna as long as I live!

Is this built by a known company or a private individual?

I believe it was built by a private individual as I have it as a "one-off"

Could this a one-off Panhard Dyna X coupe built for Monsieur Lacapitane by Corrosserie Bore (with an accent over the e, which I can't work out how to do on my Blackberry!)

You are virtually correct except for the spelling of the carrosserie - I have it as six letters
(I don't know how to include the accent either at the moment)
I'll lock it for you until your next reply as you obviously have the correct car - there's no rush if you are still at Retromobile.

Six letters?!  Wouldn't be Carrosserie Borree then would it?  I have this one form two seperate and dependable Panhard sources, and both list it as Bore (with the accent!), as Bore specialised in the unusual doors that this car had, which opened in two sections; the top part folding up gullwing-style, with the main door section opening outwards.

If not Bore, then I'm not sure who constructed it for M. Lacapitane, so it can be opened back up to all-comers.
A car is for life, not just for Christmas.

Djetset, I have posted part of the article (from LVA) on the car below.
They spell it Labore (with an accent on the e).
It is probably Carrosserie La Bore of Saint-Lo.
Whatever you have the point as you have correctly guessed the car.
