Luce/Pike?
Are you saying that Pike is the same as Luce? in which language?

In English!

I'm not sure of the exact derivation of luce, but the Latin binomial name for the pike is Esox lucius, so I'd guess it has something to do with that.

Arunas - sorry but you lose! (just joking!)
However, Tom_I's reply suggests that the two are connected.

Pike is the make. Can you tell me the model name and what the car is based on for the point?

I think we have a slight misunderstanding here Arunas.

The car make is Pike.
What I need is the model and what the car was based on for the point.

I didn't know what is the make of this car, so I followed your "fish clue" and chose Pike/Luce as I found in dictionary :D As the name of the make appears to be a Pike, I looked again into my archive and the answer was there.

The car is a Ford Cortina-based Pike Predator (inititially Invader) built by Arnold Pearce and Tony Brown of Pike Automotive from Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire in a period from ca. 1986 to ca. 1988.

Congratulations - that's it!
Unfortunately that's the only photo I have of this virtually unknown/unseen car.
