Probably difficult for Rookies but who knows?
Anyway, make, who built it and the year for a point.

The windscreen looks like a Jaguar XK120 - Is there one, or part of one, under there?

Only the windscreen perhaps.
No other Jaguar parts that I'm aware of.

I think it's too small to be from a Jaguar.  I see Volvo 544 in the windshield and hood.  Is it from Sweden?

Not Swedish.
This was the first car built by this person.
He built another two cars, all totally different.

No Jowett parts were used.

A little piece of extra information - the car had a British engine and the suspension came from an Italian marque.

A clue is now necessary to move this one forward.

The car is named after its' creator who hailed from Glasgow, Scotland.

It is the first of three cars he built (all very different) and the name is xxxxer.

Can you provide me with a year before I award you a point please.
Locked for you until your next reply.

I'll reply with a fuller explanation of the car later.

It is the Hopper Special built by Ian J. Hopper but this is the first one he built - the third one was built in 1951.
Have another try and I'll give you the point if you are within a year of the actual date.

Hopper's first post-war special, registered FUS 1, was a low-slung coupe with a Triumph Dolomite engine in a modified Riley Kestrel chassis. It was made in 1947.

No - this was Ian Hopper's father's company which wasn't involved in car production
