Is it a one-off creation?

It is a "one-off"

A small clue - it was designed in the 1980s and the build had started but was never completed owing to the builder/designer's ill health. He died in 2003.
The car was then finally completed by one of his best friends.

Apologies Arunas I missed your reply.
Not French.
The original builder had constructed quite a few luxury GT coupes in the past.

Is there a Monteverdi connection?
A car is for life, not just for Christmas.

Owing to the lack of any further guesses, time for a clue (or two)

The car is British and the name is two words (the surnames of the constructors who built quite a number of luxury coupes back in the 1960s)

It is a Gordon Keeble.
Any idea on what the model name may have been?

Well done Pal - good picture too!

I guess it should be the Keeble K3 (not Gordon Keeble)

Just to add a little more information -

After production of the Gordon-Keeble car ceased in 1967 in Southampton, Jim Keeble went on to be involved in many different engineering projects.
In the 1980s he designed and started to build a space-framed high performance three-wheeler capable of 125 mph but, due to illness he was unable to complete it. He sadly passed away in 2003.
The K-3 was bequeathed to the Hampshire Industrial & Social History Museum 'Milestones' in Basingstoke, Hampshire.
Jim's great friend Derek Baker eventually completed the car.
