Quite right! That chap looks very happy to have found it though, let's hope it's on its way to being rescued.

On first glance it appears to be a late 40s Italian car, but that sweep on the front wing and the provision for spats at the rear puts me more in mind of French trends of the time, so is the coachwork French?
