Which car is this?
Packard Convertible
not an original Packard. Maybe some pieces from Packard.
...bump...
Ok, heres what I think I see.
Early 50s Chrysler Wheelcovers, Packard hood ornament, 40 Ford Headlight chrome, I think the lower grill element is from an early 50s Lincoln.
Is there a MOPAR under the skin?
I don´t know the base, but that´s some mopar parts
I know the answer, but I'm still waiting in the right section....
Good idea ;)

I'm going to go with one of two possible guesses: Buick Kustom Fade Away Convertible by Ray Reed
Damn! All I can find is that the picture as the same source (and is shot in the same setting) that another solved puzzle.

I can't find it back...was it in a Trend Book?
I don´t know if it was in a Trend book, but it was in the same book of a puzzle solved by you.

I wish I could use this clue.. :D
by Edward Macauley?
I think the key to nailing what it's based on is to identify the A pillar/windshield area.
In that regard, it looks Cord-derived. But jotage21 doesn't reply to my guesses here, so somebody else will have to suggest it. :D
This photo is published in ''The American Custom Car'' book by Pat Ganahl
with the other picture of puzzle Geraldo´s #112 which shot in the same setting.
An indianapolis car show
No futher information on the car though :-\
sorry Otto, I didn´t see your guess. It reallys comes from "The American Custom Car", with no other information, and I´ll have to check the guesses.
