That's a Lycoming aero engine with a tagged-on Roots blower fed from a BIG SU carb.  After that I'm lost

That's an aircraft engine, but not a Lycoming.

That is the Stanton Special nicknamed 'The Cropduster'. Built in New Zealand in about 1953 by the Stanton brothers, Maurie & I can't remember the other one. The car was powered by a supercharged Gypsy Major motor with chain drive and competed in many events around NZ including the Grand Prix at Ardmore.  :)

But it didn't have the 'Mistral' body when it appeared at the Goodwood Festival last year!
