Not a car this time but an event.....
Identify the where, when, what, etc. and also who is the driver on the right of the picture?
One point puzzle.

Tackitt

The easy part is the driver - Chris Amon
I am going to guess 1971 LeMans?

Yes, it's Chris Amon at Le Mans but not 1971 - earlier than that.
I'll lock it for you until your next reply to come up with the full answer.

Let's try Chris Amon, LeMans 24 hour, 1969

Yes, correct so far but what is the reason he is walking on the side of the track?
It's the incident I'm looking for here.....
Still locked for you.

Tackitt has just sent me the correct answer by PM as we had a problem posting this morning.
So an extra point for him.

The answer is John Wolfe's Porsche 917 accident at Le Mans in 1969 where he was sadly killed. He wasn't wearing seat belts at the time and was also not an experienced driver of the 917. Chris Amon's Ferrari was caught up in the accident and he is seen walking away from the scene.
