Solved At Last! The Last Cars and Songs Puzzle
« on: April 10, 2011, 10:22:30 AM »
My final Puzzle about cars, and songs about cars (or other modes of transport, real or imagined), and the artists who recorded those songs. This swan-song installment once again spans the scale from "this is ridiculously easy" to "what, are you kidding me?! It skews to the latter, I hope.  >:D

The rules are as follows: No points for naming one of these cars - they are mostly quite easy. The points will be awarded for identifying the artist (1 point each), the song (1 point each), and the correct pairing (1 point each) as represented by a corresponding picture of a car, or an automotive event. While many of these artist have gone on to other walks of life, or that recording studio in the sky, and though their records may be long-since out-of-print, there are no insider-only "you have to have the book" requirements. Patience and good detective work is all that is required to find the solution to all of these. The answers are all available to the general public.

Enjoy!

Could be N12 a Gasoline baby? Because then it pairs with artist G: Marshall Crenshaw

H = Madness and car # 10 Song: Driving In My Car

I’ve been driving in my car, it’s not quite a jaguar
I bought it in primrose hill from a bloke from brazil
It was made in fifty-nine in a factory by the tyne
It says morris on the door, the g.p.o. owned it before
I drive in it for my job, the governor calls me a slob
But I don’t really care, give me some gas and the open air
