Voiturette?
-
Nope.

I think it's D.B. I have a photograph fron Klausenrennen describing it as a 1939 model, but I can't find it anymore on the Web.
-
Not a D.B.
-
Is 1939 correct?
-
Let's try workign on the country of origin.
Italian? ;D
-
Not Italian according to my source.
-
Is 1939 correct?
No.
-
alright. Let's back up a little. Is it European?
-
How about this: Post war French Formula Two?
-
Here's the beast.
-
Yep. Same picture I have...with no explanation.
-
I have the same picture, too...
Keep on digging!

This car raced at Klausenrennen 2006 with the number 325. Its driver was Klaus Reichenberger. The make of the car is La Pintate, from 1934, with a 1300 ccm engine. Isn't that obscure enough ?
-
Yep. La Pintate, "the fastest guinea fowl in the world". I saw it also posted as a "Theo Martin La Pinata. A long way from home as it appears to be from Brazil.
-
Are you all sure it's not la Pintade? In spite of the file name of the picture, that is French for guinea fowl.
???

You're perfectly right. But it appeared as "La Pintate" at Klausenrennen. However. I found it identified as a Théo Martin, Typ "La Pintade" at the Swiss GP in 2009, with the same specifications and the same driver. So, it's probably "La Pintade".

Well done!
"La Pintade" is the name I have and I think it's the right one. Do you know which 1300cc engine was used?
Locked for you till your next reply.

That's strange. I can't find any further information about the engine of the 1934 Théo Martin "La Pintade". However, there was a Simca "La Pintade" racing in 1954 which driver was... Théo Martin. I found a photograph of the same car at the Autodiva site dealing with the Grand Prix Suisse 2009 : the car is identified as a Simca Spéciale (1949). Could the engine be a Simca ? Anyway, it seems to be a French car, as it is referred to in the article "Rêves bleus monoplace, Théo Martin" (Rétroviseur, No 90, 1996).
BTW, I found another fantasies for our fowl : at another site dealing with the GP Suisse 2009, it's named "La Pintale" while at the Haldenhof Revival 2007 site it becomes "La Pinade". You always have to be cautious, when it's so easy to mistype the names.
-
Simca is the donor for the engine while Théo Martin was only the driver in 1934. (as far as I know!)
Maybe he was the builder as well, but couldn't find anything to confirm.
I title the topic '1934 Simca Special "La Pintade". Any other suggestions are welcome.
A well deserved point for pguillem!

Sorry, but now I recognized that it was you who came in with the correct spelling.
One point consolation (I know pguillem did more of the work, but the heck with it!) for you!
