I've checked but I can't find any evidence that you are right and I am wrong.
So this puzzle is open to all Rookies, which I'm afraid means not to Delorean!

Yes, although it's a styling proposal rather than a concept car.
I'm note entirely sure of the date myself; I had it as slightly later but you're more likely to be correct I think.
