Both cars are front engined, both cars are 1972 models. 1972 Lamborghini Jarama GTS(1972 Campagnolo wheels), 1972 Audi 100 LS ci Both cars' current parent company is: Audi AG(1998) :)

All right, but that' not what I had in mind. ;) Maybe I should have specified a little bit more.
It's about certain parts...

BTW: It's not a 1972 model..

I dont know, maybe they both have a torqueflite transmission, or share the same vent window trim piece? ???

No, it's more obvious, but must admit I haven't noticed until today.

Same designer perhaps? ? ?
I'm not aware of any Marcelo Gandini design concerning the Audi 100 C1, but I highly doubt he was involved at all.
As far as I know it was almost independently developed by Ex-Mercedes Benz engineer Ludwig Kraus.
I can't find anything about an Italian design at Audi before Giugiaro did the VW Golf/Passat/Scirocco Audi 80 of the first generation.

Well, they are both now part of the Volkswagen group.  However, Lamborghini wasn't at the time the Jamara was made.   Audi being acquired in 1966 and Lamborghini (by Audi) in 1998.

So that's not what you're after.

They both have engines that on a humid summer day will heat-soak, overheat &
strand you when your cell phone is out cell range.  Either that, or the bumpers
might be interchangeable,  swap the rear from the Lambo to the front of the
Audi.

Yes, the Lamborghini Jarama prototype as shown on the pic has the same rearlights as the Audi 100 C1.

Can you post some rear-view pictures for us?
I know the later production Jaramas had the Fiat 124 Coupe Mk2 rear-lights, and that the earlier ones had slimmer wraparound rear lights, but I'd never have guessed they came from an Audi!

Lambos and other low-production supercars of the period always raided the parts bins of common cars but they were almost always Italian saloons and sports cars.  It must have been a first to use German rear lights!

That's a prototype with later model Campagnolo wheels! Tricky puzzle!
