Interesting...
I actually don't know it, but let's start with some guesses. Built in the UK?
The engine is the bicylinder... 500 or 126?

I really don't know where it was built, but strongly believe it wasn't in England, but the more obvious..
For the engine: all I have is a plate with a designation (I've obscured) and a make, but believe it's origins are more likely 500 based..
Anyway... don't nail me down to it...

Ok: probably Italian and for sure hand-made.
Now, I've to wait until the puzzle is solved berfore publishing my 2nd edition "Fiat 500 fuoriserie" beacuse it isn't included.  ;)

The engine should most likely be Abarth. And evend if heavily pixelated, the car on the right looks like an Abarth 750/1000 Bialbero...
Unortunately, this don't narrow the researc hso much.

Now I reveal (most of) the obscured areas as one part of the mystery has been disclosed. It is indeed an Abarth, but what is written on the plate?
(Don't tell me "SI • 8 7691"...)

I won't lock this, as the Abarth connection was quite obvious I think...

The surrounding cars are all quite obvious... Starting from the grey sedan on the left, which is a Simca 1150 Abarth, we have a white Abarth 850/1000 TC, a red/black Autobianchi A112 Abarth, a yellow Abarth 750 Spyder Allemano, a white/green Fiat X1/9 Abarth prototype, a strange Abarth 850 Spider (probably a later modification of a coupé) and, on the back, a couple of Abarth Formula Italia.
The only one I'm not able to identify is the topic of the puzzle...  ???

After some investigation, I collected the following info about this car (although not enough for a point, I admit).  But now I'm stuck.   >:( Perhaps someone else can finish this one off with the info I provide here.

As als15 points out, it is indeed a homebuild car.
Although the car wears Abarth insignes, it is NOT an Abarth.
The car is or was located at 'Gi Kappa' near Peschiera

According to my source the collection is located in Fermo/Italy...
All I know is that it's a one-off. If homebuilt or factory-built isn't mentioned.

On the plate is written:
ABARTH _ _ _   _ _   _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

Is this museum still around? It was (is?) in Fermo province and called Museo Auto e Moto Pietro e Roberto Nardi.

I suspect if somebody knows which collection houses the Pulvirenti 1000, they might find the name of the mystery car.

Possibly... but what if it's not the Pulvirenti, but an 'ordinary' Boano Fiat Abarth 750?

Let's try to do a step ahead, at least with the mechanical base: I think the plate could be ABARTH 695 SS  _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

That's correct! What's missing is only one general and common term.
I lock this for you till your next reply.
