If you know this car I'll add one point to your account.
Sometimes it happens that I'd like to have additional informations about the designer, engine or of some characteristics.
I will let you know on these occasions!

Was it by chance? You're somehow not completely wrong....

Simply Delta, Delta 6 to be more precise (I think that's the model name).
It's not denial, I'm just very selective about the reality I accept.

Anton

Right- the Dornier Delta was a butt- ugly citycar, and this was an experimental thing that never really made it into production.

Almost correct! But a little things are still missing.. What was the complete company's name? What was the based car (brand) ?

Anton

If memory serves, the Delta 6 was NSU- based and designed by Delta Design.

Delta Design was a subsidiary of Elastogran GmbH, a supplier of polyurethane foams to the automotive industry.
The Delta 6 was designed as a simple, rugged off-roader, fun vehicle to be also used as an agricultural vehicle in developing countries. Its exterior shape combined elements from the military looks of Jeeps and the baroque styling of buggies (don't blame me I'm just trying  to translate a German-language blurb with Google translation).

Delta 6 was presented at the 1971 Hannover Fair. Following the acquisition of Elastogran by BASF the project was stopped.

The car today resides at the Deutsches Automuseum, Langenburg Castle where it is hidden behind a pillar so photography was incredibly difficult.
