The engine is German. The company's office is not.

The engine is German. The company's office is not.

1)It is already not avilable.
2) Very few (less than 50) were made
3) The company's HQ was in... Sweden / Spain ?

Only a few cars were built, but I don't know exactly how many!
You only get it used today — it's very rare and very expensive!

The headquarter is in Italy!

I give you another view:

Look at the Heuliez Intruder and you will notice that it is different.
Remarkable that it has the engine from the same company, but smaller.

It's hard to believe, but obviousely both cars have not much in common — except the look!
I once had to solve it in another forum, so, trust me!

I believ this car was manufactured by small and maybe very little known manufacturer. Did this manufacturer made any other cars?

Yes they did! And they still do today!
But it's normally an on demand manufacturer!

Here's another they built — for a bonus-point!

SUV made in 1995? The second one looks like a kitcar ???

NO Lamberti, Coggiola, Fornasari... No ideas at all :(

Does this company today manufacture automobiles | kitcars | tuning accesories?

It's none of those you've mentioned, but their services are similar to Coggiola.
Their main buisiness is building prototypes or small series of cars for other automotive companies.

The red spider is not a Kit-car.
It's an one-off for a very famous Italian brand and it's not the brand you're might thinking of...  ;)

That car appeared as the Status & Class Contender at Geneva one year. Not sure what's the connection with OPAC, whose Maserati is pictured...

One point is safe!

I have to admit that the name "Status & Class" was new for me related to this car, I only knew it under a different name. (you've already mentioned in a certain way)

OPAC Contender XG.

I actually have a brochure of this car from Status & Class, so I'm pretty sure that 'Status & Class Contender XG' is the correct name for it (ignoring the fact that it clearly has neither status or class).

OPAC Contender XG is the requested name.

You find on the OPAC page nothing about Status & Class, but am not sure if this is relaible enough.

Two points for you!

The Maserati is well-known here:

...but I've never seen the Contender before (although I was quite sure I had, as I know the Heuliez). Still learning new things :)

Quiller, would You be so kind to post a brochure of S&C Contender XG or any more pictures?

I found very intersting facts about this:
1) I think it was designed by OPAC (in 1995 ) for new Swiss company Status & Class, that presnted it as "Status & Class Contender XG" atGeneva in 1996.
2) The bodies for this car were manufactured by.... Heuliez !!! (Russian text says so..)
3) Maybe someone knows how many Of S&Cs were made or what was an expected number?

Thank You all !

P.S. Allemano must know this picture  ;D
