SOLVED! -PJ89- Streamline Time!
« on: April 15, 2009, 12:51:01 PM »
Here you are 33 streamliner cars.
All of them of the 30's with 3 exceptions (one car is from 1929, one from 1942 and one from 1943)
I know many of these are reposts, but I like to have them all togheter!

(Points will be added at the end   ;) )

I saw this post but didn't note the author. When I opened it, I took one look and said "I wonder who posted this. Could it have been Paul Jaray?"

Yep. It could only have been Paul Jaray.

Wonderful puzzle. Worthy of your namesake.  :applause: :applause: :applause:

Mr Paul,
Boy, you were not kidding me.
Guess I will hit some of my books, notes and old pictures.

Never seen sooooo many in one spot before, great job!!!
It is so nice to have a catagory for steamliners, might they also be coined, Aero's and Teardrop's also?

Question, not to break order, wasn't an early teen Rumpler credited by Historians as being the very first attempt at a Aero Car?

The 1921 Rumpler was one of the first, but what about the 1899 Jenatzy or 1902 Baker or 1902 Serpollet, for example?
BTW while you are here, why don't you try to guess these cars? I'm sure you know at least one of them...

Correct!
I was worried about the high number of reposts, but all the points will be added at the end, and some of these are quite obscure...

Found another:

s2 - 1934 McQuay-Norris Streamliner

I think that covers just about all the low-hanging fruit...

BTW, you wrote my name twice above as "fgt" instead of "ftg". Don't want you giving my hard-earned points to some nonexistent ID now!
