Judging by the photo the truck looks to have a very low load area for heavy goods.
Could it be used for transporting large reels of paper for publishing/newspaper purposes?

You learn the strangest things here. :) I always thought that Bata was a Dutch company. Near Eindhoven a they built a factory and a village for the employees with the name Batadorp, which now is also the name of the motorway intersection north of Eindhoven.
