Snoeck Bolide
It was supplied with a horizontally mounted two-or four-cylinder engine of 8, 16, 30 or 40 hp. The first tests were encouraging so that from 1899 the Snoeck Bolide participated in races with pilots as Camille Jenatzy or Baron P. de Caters.
On June 14, 1900 a Snoeck Bolide took part in the first Coupe Gordon Bennett, and a few days later, Camille Jenatzy drove one kilometer from a flying start with a speed of 94 km/h during the race in Diegem, close to his absolute speed record (105.904 km/h) he set up on April 28, 1899 at the wheel of his electric car, the "La Jamais Contente". Thus the "BOLIDE SNOECK" held the world record for the fastest petrol car.
