It's a Salmson Randonnée Cabriolet from the early 1950s, but all evidence points to these being built in-house by Salmson itself. Only 14 were built - it was too expensive and French fiscal policy was hostile to prestige cars.

The evidence I have contradicts that, specifically naming an outside coachbuilder.

Time to come clean - look's like I've been duped again by my own hayseed comprehension of foreign languages.  :bag:

It appears "Carrosserie Devaux" (the rest of the name, where I found this car) may be a modern day restoration shop or garage. Point to tonyola (and a tip of the hat to Wendax).
