I've found a replica made by Dinky Toys they call it Pre-war Streamlined Bus by Dinky 29B

I only know the story:
Three men examine a Sprott's Mexico tour bus parked in front of the Automobile Club of Southern California on Figueroa Street and Adams Boulevard. A man is wearing leather boots and a uniform and appears to be the tour guide. The bus has an American flag mounted. St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church is behind them.

Could this be bodied by Coach Crown?

You are most rightly correct. I don't know the actual builder (I though I had included that in my puzzle poet, but I see I did not).

I'm awarding you the point. If somebody can conclusively prove you are incorrect, I'll adjust the score at that time.

It could be bodied by Crown Coach, judging by the photographs taken by Sandi Brockway, which can be accessed on the Crown Coach Historical Society site.  However, the Sprotts bus is not listed here.

This one bears a strong resemblance with the New South Wales Rail Pay Bus, First Fleet.
